And yet another serious bug in #macOS14 "Sonoma"

The "Image Capture" app takes more than SIX minutes to even show the photo files on a digitial camera, even when only about 600 images are present there.

The time increases exponentionally with the number of photos.

Practically useless.

#macOS 14 is not even #alpha quality, much less release.

That sure must be the highly efficient "SwiftUI" stuff that #Apple is propagating so much?

MacOS be like "We updated you to the latest version. We also updated your chosen wallpaper to our default wallpaper."

If #iOS18 / #iPadOS18 / #watchOS11 / #macOS14 only add one feature next year it should be smarter, synced notifications.

If I reply to an email on my Mac, the notification should disappear on my phone.
If I dismiss a FindMy notification on my phone, why is it still sitting on my Mac when I get home HOURS later?
If I complete a Reminder on my Watch, I don’t need to see the overdue notification on my iPad.

Bit confused if I'm honest. What do I do?

Firefox in macOS Sonoma has 2 bugs inhibiting use of Emoji & Symbols character viewer irritating me the last few days.

The new shortcut ( E) drops an “e” into text input.

The old shortcut (^ ⌘ Space) opens and immediately closes the character viewer.
