There have been a few places in my life that became very dear to me — places where I had a “last ride,” fully aware it might be the final one.<br>
<br>
I got deeply attached to this remote corner of Nepal. I made so many memories here, felt a quiet kind of joy and peace. And that day, it might have been the last time — the last time I pedaled this road, saw this view. It was deeply moving.<br>
<br>
In moments like this, I feel immense gratitude — for having had the chance to live these experiences, to build that bond, to feel a sense of belonging in a faraway place.<br>
But alongside that gratitude, there’s always a touch of sadness. I wish I could slow time. Look around just once more. Stay a little longer.<br>

Crazy-to-Bike<p>Heute auf <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Biketour" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Biketour</a> mit dem <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/DAV" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DAV</a> im <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Schwarzwald" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Schwarzwald</a> hat es auf dem vorletzten <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Trail" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Trail</a> Peng, Peng gemacht (vom Geräusch fast wie ein <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Durchschlag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Durchschlag</a> vorn und hinten) und danach psssss. Da hat mir etwas doch tatsächlich vorn und hinten den <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Reifen" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Reifen</a> durchstochen 😱<span><br>Hinten hat die </span><a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Dichtmilch" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Dichtmilch</a> das Loch wieder abgedichtet. Chiming in late from Ventura County, CA. Too much going on in my cycling world lately. Last race of the youth MTB cycling league season 2 weekends ago up in Tehachapi. Very fun, but the end of an era with it my youngest son's last race of his high school career. 7 years (they start in 6th grade). He only missed one race, the first one, due to a soccer tournament. I did an instagram post on that.<br><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DKYfKy6REVK/?img_index=1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">instagram.com/p/DKYfKy6REVK/?i</span><span class="invisible">mg_index=1</span></a></p><p>Then we had our last practice group ride and the end-of-season MTB team party, with lots of speeches, which I'm not very good at, but I stumbled my way through. Now we're doing some fun rides until the end of the month with whatever kids have time for it. Those are nice events since during the season we don't often get to ride with others on the team outside of our practice groups and now we get to mix together and meet new people.</p><p>I didn't have the easiest coaching season this time. I had some younger kids that were being mean to each other, so had to deal with that and their parents. But, it is all part of the experience and you hope you make some sort of difference in their lives, not just in getting them involved in cycling and the outdoors but also in building character. Crazy-to-Bike<p>Ich hab mir im <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Bikemarkt" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bikemarkt</a> recht günstig ne weitere <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Trickstuff" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Trickstuff</a> <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Piccola" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Piccola</a> für's <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Hardtail" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Hardtail</a> gekauft. Diesmal gebraucht. Am HT die <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Bremse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bremse</a> ersetzen war schon lange mein Plan. Nun habe ich endlich an beiden (Haupt-)Bikes nicht nur die gleiche super leichte <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Scheibenbremse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Scheibenbremse</a> mit top Bremsleistung, sondern auch gleiche <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Bremsbeläge" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bremsbeläge</a> und die gleiche Größe der <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Bremsscheiben" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bremsscheiben</a>. Ich hatte noch <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Dächle" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Dächle</a> UL 203 und 180 mm im Ersatzteilvorrat, also habe ich diese am HT montiert (statt bisher 180 /160 mm). Akkana Peck<p>Just got back from a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> ride on the Canyon Rim trail. The prickly pear cacti are really putting on a show all along the trail.
