Ok, fellow #socialist geeks, how do we explain the importance of #protocols over #platforms to non-technical socialists?
I have seen people say things like "it would be better just to #nationalise #twitter" or "#mastodon is for libertarians who fetishise decentralisation", or even just "I wish there was another twitter that didn't have all these different servers like mastodon".
I know protocols are a socialist issue, you know protocols are a socialist issue. How do we persuade?

Possibly of most interest to a UK person, but as I recently had cause to review my utility bills for 2021-22, I noticed relatively dramatic price increases were taking place then, around 20-30%. So this year they double and triple that. My concern? They’re using external circumstances to justify punitive profiteering in the uk, as that pattern hints.
