If anyone was following and interested in the discussion between the Vice-President of the USA and a former Conservative leader in the UK about the "who is my neighbour?" question a lawyer asked Jesus in Luke 10:29, here is something worth reading.
Each of the politicians seemed to be, like the lawyer, "willing to justify himself", and both seemed to overlook the point that the lawyer never did get an answer to his question, because, as the parable Jesus told shows, it was the wrong question.
The real question is not "who is my neighbour?" but "who can I be a neighbour to?"

@atomicpoet it’s the correct spelling in most of the world except the USA.
I easily shortened the cable by 2 meters and removed and reattached the shoreline plug, then reconnected the electricity. My heater and dehumidifier are running.
The state of my cable ties told me there'd been some hard yanking. The ties were all bunched up in one place. They're reusable burr-tape ties, easy to undo.
I'm unimpressed by the poor care my neighbours showed for my equipment.

The elderly lady who is visiting the hospital next week for #chemotherapy treatment has now had a #FREE #gas #water #heater installed by our subcontractors.
This was totally free of any cost, with no charge under any circumstances to her, we now know that when she returns home after every treatment, she will have running hot water without the worry of covering the cost, or borrowing.
She is a lovely lady who deserves a break, her next door, #neighbour, called us and asked if we could help.

Basically they are charging me monthly for a previous 3 month amount paid by direct debit. Consequently I am in major credit BUT the amount is all wrong (and of course in their #favour)
I can now log into my own account but making a complaint is just too much #hassle. I have already installed their app (no reason why I should), changed my password. Refused to engage with their chat bot. Changed my email to non google.
