Gerrit Eicker 🇪🇺🇺🇦<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://m.tzyl.eu/@ton" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ton</span></a></span> The <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/AIAct" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AIAct</span></a> comes somewhat <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/prematurely" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prematurely</span></a>, as can be seen from all the unclear definitions. The language ("high-risk AI") suggests world domination, but actually means individual impact "only". And precisely this individual-based clarification is <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/nottechnicallyfeasible" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nottechnicallyfeasible</span></a>. It feels like the <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/EU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EU</span></a> wants to <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/prevent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prevent</span></a> <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> from being further developed. I believe this will only lead to even less AI <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/development" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>development</span></a> in <a href="https://eicker.news/tags/Europe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Europe</span></a>. So instead of massively investing in AI, the EU is restricting it.</p>
