I do really like the possibility to work flexibly from remote, when I’m not onsite at my customers. But I’m also very grateful, that we also have (excellent) offices.

Personal exchange, little chats in the coffee kitchen and meeting people in person is invaluable and a big part of our culture.

What the new and improved MS #Office programs live to do: they offer you to do the thing, you get to fill in fields and select resources that are offered to you, just to tell you, after you press the "do it" button, that no, you can't do the thing. Because: the resource I offered you is not available to you, or it was clear even before you opened that dialog that your account doesn't have the permission to do the thing.
Is this a result of vibe coding? Ignorance? Did they fire too many UX folks?

Last week, I got an email from Microsoft. It told me I’d be paying 46% more for my Office subscription, starting next month.

But when I tried to cancel, it offered me the same price I was already paying — without the generative AI features I never asked for in the first place.

This isn’t just deceptive; it’s an abuse of market power. I’ve had it with Microsoft.
