I've had my #Kobo Libra Colour #ereader for a month. I'm so glad I switched from #Kindle when I did. #FuckAmazon

I worried about being able to load #ebooks from two different #libraries based on some reviews, but I found setup instructions on Reddit and have successfully synced borrowed #books from both cards via #Libby / #Overdrive. I think I can only browse one library on the device, but I prefer to do that from my computer anyway.

I love that adding a bookmark looks like a dog-eared page! 😍

Nervig: Größeres Nähprojekt und ich komme nicht auf die #Overdrive-Seite (Hörbücher-Seite, die ich als Bücherhallenmitglied nutzen kann).
Falls das demnächst wieder geht: Hat jmd. ne Ahnung, wie man bei #OverDrive HB nach Länge sortieren kann? Ich brauche, wenn, dann nur kurze HB mit max 5 Std.
Falls jmd. Empfehlungen für HB oder Hörspiele hat, die nicht so lang sind, nehm ich die auch gern! (Kein Fantasy)

Quite late to the game, but I’m considering getting into #eink #ebook readers and ideally buying #drmfree ebooks (I don’t mind paying a bit more for those). Looks like choices are very limited nowadays, at least for the major publishers. Ideally also on a distraction-free device without ads and without a full fledged mobile OS like Android. #Kobo and #PocketBook seem the most reasonable choices, apparently also with #Libby & #Overdrive integration for public libraries in #Canada. Tips welcome 🙂

The loss of portable files from #Overdrive isn't going to stop me from listening to audiobooks, it will stop me from aquiring them from sources like audible, and libby. Ahem. Make legal use more accessible is all I'm saying.
