A while back Sacha arranged to take our two youngest grandchildren to a local village pantomime (without consulting parents or me).
It's this afternoon.
I have a deep irrational loathing of pantomimes - possibly from a suppressed childhood memory.
I know some of the cast - it's an amateur dramatic company - so I'm going to have to lie about how wonderful it was on at least two fronts.
The logistics of moving the children across the county are fraught (and I'm expected to sort out) and that's without the issue of feeding them.
Of course I'm going to have to miss Petanque today because I'll be transporting children. Not that I'm fully recovered from whatever lurgi I've had over the last couple of weeks.
It'll be fine in the end.
"Pantomime" is a type of comedic British theatre play where men play women and women play men and no one, not even J K Arsehole, complains about it. Because it doesn't matter.
Something is wrong with me. I just spontaneously had the desire to watch a pantomime.
