“The Genocide in Gaza, or the End of the Arab World”

“Palestine does not resist to exist. It resists to #prevent the #erasure of #truth. Gaza stands. Because if it falls, everything falls with it. And those who abandon it today will answer. Not before a court, but before history”

The Palestine Chronicle · The Genocide in Gaza, or the End of the Arab WorldBy The Palestine Chronicle

1/ « We need to understand the origins of the Trump blitzkrieg to #counter it in the US and #prevent it from spreading abroad. The speed of the attack can be traced to Trump strategist and “accelerationist” Steve Bannon, and aligns with his information warfare tactic to “flood the zone” to #confuse, #disengage and #disorient. Whether on climate or Covid, rumours, lies and conspiracy theories create a chaotic #cacophony, leaving the public disoriented, fearful and prey to oversimple Trumpist messages: blame the woke, migrants, transgender people, Muslims, doctors, scientists. Musk’s purchase of Twitter/X supports Bannon’s agenda. » ⤵️

This is sounding like some Slow Horses level of Clown Fuckery.

The Guardian · Prevent chief departs after damning inquiry over Southport attackBy Aletha Adu

People aren't typically referred to Prevent because they've committed a crime, rather due to a speculative risk of 'radicalisation'. The reality is, many Prevent referrals are based on gut instinct, rather than concrete evidence.

BUT also from public sector workers who believe a child needs additional support.

Why should kids have to be considered at risk of becoming a terrorist to get help?

Except Badenoch was right (only in the sense a stopped clock is right twice a day). #Prevent is ineffective. It's inherently #racist (because after 9/11 the public were told to hate Muslims and ignore White supremacists). It is therefore overwhelmed with pointless referrals which make it harder to identify genuine risk. 1/2

The processing of data under #Prevent is neither proportionate nor necessary when 87% of referrals end with no action.

Yet organisations rely on national security or law enforcement exemptions to #dataprotection, which aren't valid when there's no criminal activity.

Referrals are often driven by a lack of other safeguarding support – ‘Vulnerability present but no ideology or risk’ was the largest category of referrals (36%) in 23/24.
