After a highly systematic undocumented risk assessment &amp; evaluation process Toddler and I decided handlebar dragon requires a helmet. </p><p>It's red because of visibility and as we had red paint around. 73% Geek<p>Has anyone else experienced being wrongly accused of re-uploading someone else’s 3D models? </p><p>Got a boilerplate warning/accusation saying I had to prove provenance, but when I reached out I never heard anything back. </p><p>Finally got another message today saying if I’d made the models everything was fine, don’t worry about it. </p><p>Is this… normal? It doesn’t seem a very good way of handling people stealing models or credit. </p><p>Would uploading my FCStd files along with step or stls avoid these kinds of situations? </p><p>Also, any reason NOT to upload FCStd files? That garbage is (usually) tagged, however you can't set the filter to be always-on. And those users even have the audacity to attach a license to those things, which is literally impossible.</p><p>I'm beyond disgusted. Here's two T-connectors that snap on the existing bars to fix a new 10 mm bar in place.</p><p>Also makes it all more rigid and pretty. Kyle Davis<p>A request: </p><p>I’m trying out some <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3dPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3dPrinting</span></a> tolerances for small print-in-place mechanisms.</p><p>This entire object is 18x12mm - I’m aiming for something generally printable on a range of printers without futzing about in a slicer.</p><p>If I threw this on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Printables" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Printables</span></a> would you give it a test print and report back if it works on your printer? </p><p>It’s 1.37 grams and takes about 7 minutes on a slower printer.</p><p>(Excuse my son for video bombing: nothing keeps him from his afternoon toy car races)</p>
