This thing just went over our roof at 1000ft and pretty damn fast, as they are. Unmistakable 'howl' it makes

The RAAF operated eight Republic P-43s, four of which were P-43Bs and the remaining four P-43Ds. Modified for photographic reconnaissance work they were operated by 1PRU. They were operated from August 1942 until May 1943 when they were re[;ace by Lockheed F-4 Lightnings. https://www.destinationsjourney.com/historical-military-photographs/republic-p-43-lancer-in-australian-service/ #RepublicP43Lancer #RepublicP43 #RAAF #WW2 #Aviation #AviationHistory

Finished. Xtrakit Gloster Meteor Mk8 in RAAF markings for the Meteorites aerobatic team
Pretty happy although it’s a tail sitter despite weighting the nose. Don’t look too close in the wheel well

Here is a picture of a 737 Max operated by the #RAAF. It shows the pilot's window pulled in and back, and a dinky little flagpole sticking up from ?the cup holder?
My question: Is this window a peculiarity of "Envoy zero one", or is it standard in all 737 Max? Maybe it is an emergency exit? #pilots

Heading down to the beach today, @leece and I saw a military transport doing a sharp turn *below the roofline of Observation City* at Scarborough.
So we tracked for a bit as it had a transponder running, and it went out to Wadjemup, and then up the Swan, and back to Pearce.
A bit later it came back, this time doing the sharp turn just over City Beach, before heading down the coast a bit more, and then turning back.
This gave me a chance to grab this shot as it went overhead at about 600ft.
What is really curious is that the cargo door is open. I wonder why?
This is the track of a Cessna 400 Titan that I recorded on flight radar yesterday. It had no information given about whom it belongs to, I guess it’s Australian Air Force or something.
It was flying a grid north south at exactly 13,000 ft.
Does anybody know what on earth it’s up to?

Evening, Toots! Mum kept me busy today and I'm tired, but glad to be useful. Nearly missed #VEDay and showing you Mum in her Grandparent's garden in Altrincham, Manchester, England. Her Dad was in the #RAAF, and her Mum was an English #WAAF...they met at Valley Air Base. #FamilyHistory #histodons
