Alfred Chow - Maker of Things
Today, at Boothstown Repair Cafe I repaired:

One of the Village hall tables - The leg braces had been broken off the rivets again. Straightened the braces and replaced the solid rivets using my 8 ton press.

A pair of shoes - The soles had peeled off at the toe. I glued with contact adhesive and used spots of CA glue around the edge to hold it for 24 hours.

A reconstituted marble resin ornament of a stag - Three of the legs had snapped off. I glued back on with CA glue, reinforcing the hollow parts with epoxy putty. I needed the Dremel, but the battery was flat, so I did fine work with a diamond burr in the DeWalt hammer drill! 😬

A watch - I removed the back so the battery could be changed.

LED strip lights - a fuseable resistor had blown. Tested and found all the LEDs still worked. Another repairer finished off the repair.

It was quiet today, due to the Bank Holiday weekend I think.

#RepairCafe
