My favorite soldering iron of all time is the Hakko FX-951. I have two of the beefier Hakkos (FM203, I had an FM206 for a minute there) and the 951 smokes them, in my opinion.
On amazon, I got this lil guy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXSTYN24?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details for $30 and, while it's heating and thermal recovery are obviously not even close to the 951, it uses the same T12 tips and benefits from all the advantages that comes with.
So far, I'm happy with the purchase and it's a nice, tiny iron station to have around
