Skye likes Loch Maree. It went something like: swim, swim, walk, swim, went further along for a swim, walk, and a paddle.
One from Monday's long walk.
I love views like this - a different perspective of a familiar mountain, in this case Beinn Eighe. Or a dramatic mountain ridge line heading into the clouds that just sets off a bit of excitement at the thought of climbing it.
I was out in the hills of #ballachulish yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful. Very good for the soul to drench yourself in nature and only having your own company.
"These are my hills!"

I took Skye's pack off in anticipation she would want a swim. I had no choice she was going in!
TBH, I appreciated the rest too. We stayed for a while just 'being' in this incredibly remote and beautiful place.
On Monday we were up early and walking before 7am. A long 30 km and 1100 metres of ascent to bag our first Fisherfield munro - Beinn Tarsuinn.
An incredible,12 hour day made by the views from the summit, and the personal challenge of making it happen.
Skye had a good swim in Lochan Fada on the way back. And eventually back at the van and post-dinner she just crashed out on her bed!
Meall a' Ghiuthais from top of The Mountain Trail the other day, with a guy in the foreground for scale! Skye going off to say 'bye!' as we'd walked with him a while on the way up.
A couple of snaps of Skye from our walk yesterday over The Mountain Trail.

It’s a pretty little village but everyone was just there to take photos I’m sure it would be annoying to live there.

Cracking walk yesterday above Braemore Junction to the Corbett of Beinn Enaiglair.
Quite boggy, but lovely stalkers paths, and despite a hazy day the views were fantastic.
I think Skye had a Good Walk today, she's barking in her dreams this evening.
Probably chasing all the critters she was hunting in the grass and heather.
Yesterday we had a buzz round the Mountain Trail from Glas Leitire.
In rained quite a bit but there wasn't much of it. A fresh biting wind over the top meant we didn't hang about long.
