The Register: Nothing to see here: Brave browser blocks privacy-busting Microsoft Recall. “In an effort to protect user privacy, Brave browser 1.81 will prevent Microsoft Recall from screenshotting it by default. Microsoft introduced Recall, you may recall, in May 2024 as a way to record screen activity for people using Copilot+ PCs, in order to pass that information to the resident AI […]

Some performance improvements incoming - focusing on a smooth multi-body space engine has been my focus as I took a few days to just clean up code, APIs and - happily running at 120fps (at 96x speed - where the n-body physics is still relatively stable) - the main bottleneck is now in the WebGL rendering itself!

Peter Bengtsson: Video to screenshots app. “I made a web app that helps you extract screenshots from a video file. You technically don’t ‘upload’ it but you select a video file from your computer into the web app, and the screenshots are generated more or less instantly.”

How-To Geek: Snipping Tool Is Getting a Big GIF Upgrade. “GIFs remain one of the most popular image formats on the internet, despite their age. They’re even natively integrated into most messaging apps. Now, Microsoft is testing the ability to create and export them using Windows’s native screenshot and screen recording tool.”
