It is a country-ish collection with western themes, which is a real departure from her early days singing jazz. Tardy worked with Sean Staples on the production; and on this track alone, he played banjo, bass, drums, guitar, and pedal steel. Versatile. Unlike the Elvis Presley original, this "Love Me Tender" has a little skip in its step. It is very much worth hearing.</p><p>:</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/1950smusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>1950smusic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/bandcamp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bandcamp</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/bostonmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bostonmusic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/elvispresley" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elvispresley</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/jesstardy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>jesstardy</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/lovemetender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lovemetender</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/seanstaples" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>seanstaples</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/singersongwriter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>singersongwriter</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/skycitylullaby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>skycitylullaby</span></a> </p><p>:::</p>

Sean Staples did an excellent job with the production. It is beyond me why "Sky City Lullaby" has not sold better than it has.</p><p>"Dusty Skies" is one of the better tracks. The musicians, in addition to Tardy and Staples, are Charlie Rose on pedal steel and Alec Spiegelman on clarinet.</p><p>:</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/alecspiegelman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>alecspiegelman</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/bandcamp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bandcamp</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/bostonmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bostonmusic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/charlierose" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>charlierose</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/dustyskies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dustyskies</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/jesstardy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>jesstardy</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/mainemusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mainemusic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/musicnews" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>musicnews</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/nemsbk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nemsbk</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/newenglandmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newenglandmusic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/seanstaples" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>seanstaples</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/singersongwriter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>singersongwriter</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/skycitylullaby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>skycitylullaby</span></a> </p><p>:::</p>
