Good Whiz discussion in radio post-game.
I have a nerd crush on Dave Flemming. Earlier this season: discussing e-bike commuting. Last night: nerding out about Wordle (also a hilarious discussion of it last year). Tonight: discussing the non-meat options at the ballpark. Also, he’s a great announcer.
Whisenhunt got the W. Rea the loss.
Giants 12, Cubs 3, final.
Heliot Ramos just hit his 16th HR. So far, we have 4 HR's, and the Giants are up 12-3 in the 8th, now with 2 on and 1 out.
KaBOOM! Hit with authority!!
Chappy's 200th career HR was a smash.
Matt Chapman just hit his 200th career HR. 11-3 Giants over Cubs in the bottom of the 7th.
Rafael Devers is having a great night! He's 3-3 with 5 RBIs on a walk, a double, and 2 HR's!
It's 10-3 GIants over Cubs after 6,
Mighty Casey knocks in Chappy!
Go Giants!
Good to great. Chappy using his head!
Justin Verlander was on tonight, giving up 2 earned runs over 6 innings.
Ryan Walker got the save in place of Randy Rodriguez, who is on the 15 day IL for an elbow sprain.
Giants 5 Cubs 2, final. They meet again tomorrow night in San Francisco. Same time (6:45 PM PT).
Hey, pretty good game. Giants played better. And won!
Let's go #SfGiants close this out.
#SFGiants lose their closer to an elbow sprain

Gotta appreciate Verlander. Guy is throwing his heart out for the #SFGIants regardless of the lack of run support all year.
It's now a no decision.
At least Wilmer has some fight in him. #sfgiants
Wilmer Flores! A solo HR to LF in the bottom of the 2nd with 1 out is the first score of the game.
Giants 1 Cubs 0
Yikes. Pretty empty. #sfgiants
Sad to see how hollow/empty the park is for the #SFGiants. I understand it and hope they can get a decent product on the field for the fans again.
Okay, Giants fans. Verlander is pitching tonight. His 1-10 record isn't giving a clear picture of him this season. He has been either really good, or really hitable; no one knows which will be the case on any given night. Now, they're facing the Cubs, a team with a winning record. This should help Justin, as the Giants have shown a tendency to lose to teams with mediocre records, but to play well against better (record-wise, anyway) teams.
If he's on, it might be 1 run in 6 innings of work. If he's not, heck, the sky's the limit!
The fun begins in about 45 minutes from San Francisco, the hometown of fog in August.
