#Obama about what has changed in America, not just in the White House.

Maybe spineless is the right word.

Spineless for the politicians who should know better.

And naive for the population that has enjoyed their comfort for decades and has apparently not received enough historical education to realise how quickly things can change for them and their children.

Interesting thing at my university: the AAC&U statement (signed by over 150 #university presidents in the USA) is a powerful (well, as much as letters can be) response to the #GOP attacks on higher ed via international students.

SUNY's chancellor hasn't signed it, which doesn't really surprise me; our recent chancellors have been fairly #spineless political creatures. When the pressure is overwhelming and the risk seems low, the #SUNY chancellor will sign.

@jaykuo Huh. Jeffries told Dems NOT to protest the tRumpo address. The ONLY CORRECT thing would be to boycott totally that address, or to turn their backs and walk out. But jeffries wanted "dignity".

Jeffries does NOT "get it". He merely sees an opportunity to gain influence within dem party.

He spread his ass cheeks to Johnson, and elected to flop in the House, just like rat schumer did in the Senate.

Don't bring strong worded letters to a gunfight.

A couple of quick reminders

1- a US govt Department can NOT be dissolved by executive order. It'd take the full Congress (House, Senate) process to do so. Same for any statutes.

2- LAW IS ONLY MEANINGFUL IF PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DEFEND AND ENFORCE IT. Otherwise it's just empty words on paper.

In a full employment economy, why aren't careerists being more choosey? That is, with all the great jobs out there, why does @JanelleGale work for META? As HR VP at that, she's the one dismantling META's diversity programs. All of them. I mean what would motivate a seasoned HR person to derail their career by torpedoing 50 years of progress in diversity and inclusion? Is it the great salaries? Then WHY? Are HR people all born without a spine, or just #JanelleGaleMETA? #Disgraced and #spineless
