Booked ourselves a little treat for next month (we'll pretend it's for my birthday even though we don't buy presents) and it will be a second attempt to sail around the Isle of Wight on the world's last seagoing paddle steamer, Waverley. Tried in 2022 but ended up spending the day in Yarmouth instead owing to some engine issues. Lovely, old vessel with an open engine room to the pistons and paddles.

The P/S Waverley heading 'doon the watter' from Glasgow this morning on a day trip to Largs and then Loch Fyne. You can just see the pointy bridge at Govan in the distance lying open, waiting for her to pass through.
