I replaced my first scissor spring using a screw, a hammer , and pliers. Had to push out the broken remainder of the old spring from the nook.
Yay me!

Update on Bladeless SAK's
This video is from July. But it's news to me. Victorinox is listening to its customers!
We NOW know what's happening at Victorinox (SAK)

@CavedaleRhones Never heard of such a thing . . . "we hike with a small #chainsaw." LOL!
Are you always doing trail maintenance when hiking????
The most I'd ever carry with men on a "hike" is a #swissarmyknife
And, besides, the fallen trees wouldn't stop any able bodies hiker from climbing thru them.
Forty years ago, I was gifted this #Victorinox #SwissArmyKnife when I sarcastically asked for a sonic screwdriver for my birthday, and I still use it all the time; however, this week, for its anniversary, I bought a Victorinox #SwissTool — not as a replacement, but as a complement.
And because I wanted one.
The term "Swiss Army knife" was coined by American soldiers in World War II because they couldn’t pronounce the original German name "Offiziersmesser", meaning "officer’s knife".
10 things you didn't know about Swiss army knives.

#SaveYouAClick: The knife will still be available; they are just making pocket tool options w/o it due to local restrictions. You can blame in part 9/11 for it.

@DeliaChristina and a bunch of other tools because everything needs fixing! #SwissArmyKnife
Let's get the hashtags out of the way:

Back in the eighties Wenger released a left-handed Swiss Army knife. Blades, corkscrew, and scissors were mirror images of one of their regular SAKs.
Years ago I put it away, because the scissors lost a screw and fell apart. I'd get it fixed someday, I told myself.
Well... here we are. Is this something I can do myself, or should I get someone who knows what they're doing?
Used a Swiss Army Knife on a guitar for the first time today. Been using the saw a little bit recently to trim broken branches on my walks, so got used to it. Felt pretty brutal, but worked OK.
I am trying a taper on the heel, blending from the screw plate up to the plugged hole, as opposed to just cutting straight down to match the plate.
This will still cover the 5th hole in the neck, and shouldn't make any difference to access.
The best Swiss Army knife had the saw AND the scissors. And the philips-head screwdriver not some zany corkscrew.
Pfffft.
So, they were announcing promotions at work (director of blahblahblah is now vice president of blahblahblah, etc.), and someone in upper management called one of those just promoted a "Swiss army knife of awesome." First, "awesome" is not a noun. Second, no...don't do that. #swissarmyknife #corpspeak
