Karl Voit :emacs: :orgmode:<p>Android: <a href="https://graz.social/tags/Obtanium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Obtanium</span></a> (instead of <a href="https://graz.social/tags/FDroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FDroid</span></a> app) is really awesome for managing app updates.</p><p>However, this method has an issue when the naming schema of the <a href="https://graz.social/tags/apk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>apk</span></a> files change on the server side, and you're using a name filter to determine the matching release file. You don't get updates anymore and you don't realize it. 🤷 </p><p>Be alert.</p><p>Today, I've got a very nasty upgrade issue with <a href="https://graz.social/tags/SyncthingFork" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SyncthingFork</span></a> since they also decided to change the naming schema, the backup file format and had a direct upgrade issue. Bad combination.</p><p>Details: <a href="https://github.com/Catfriend1/syncthing-android/issues/1442" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/Catfriend1/syncthin</span><span class="invisible">g-android/issues/1442</span></a> and my own issue because of not following directions very closely: <a href="https://github.com/Catfriend1/syncthing-android/issues/1524" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/Catfriend1/syncthin</span><span class="invisible">g-android/issues/1524</span></a></p><p><a href="https://graz.social/tags/Syncthing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Syncthing</span></a></p>
