I was having a conversation with the Kid which reminded me of this.. when we go on urban-industrial "hikes", I really put faith on trains doing what they are meant to do, that is: staying on their tracks.

I have no idea what Hot Molten Sulfur is, but I'm pretty sure I don't want it spilling out of that tank.

And yes, the picture was taken from a trail that goes just next to the track, a favorite trail among the train enthusiasts of the family.

There's this awesome little scene on decent weather weekends at Emu Plains stations. Big groups of teenage boys on mountain bikes wait for the vset to arrive to tow them up to Blaxland to run the downhill trails.

Its so cool to see our PT system facilitating good times, especially for people who are excluded from automobility!
