@saschasegangotta wonder how
#whatsapp zoomed sky high even before
#facebook bought when it did not include
#sms. the
#encryption engine of WA is the Signal protocol. So
#Signal is essentially in 4
#billion #devices. The Signal
#protocol is considered the
#gold dstandard for
#private and
#secure #messaging. It's protocol is included in facebook messenger, but is not on by default, fb hides the encryption switch 9 levels deep. its in
#google allo,
#Viber, a forked version in
#Wire messenger and
#Session Messenger,
#skype, a few
#blockchain msgr projects, I'm sure there's a few more projects I missed. So the Signal protocol has proven itself to be reliable, battle tested, private, secure and a
#trusted #technology. Signal, the messenger, continues to pump out a product to the highest standards of privacy and security and not watered down like WA, fbM, gHO with massive amounts of
#metadata being hoovered up by the
#GAFAM super spy club or sold to data brokers. The shackles of sms has been released from Signal now. I imagine they can focus on bleeding edge
#innovation, pumping out a feature rich private secure super app that is better and faster than the
#competition. It will be a no brainer to have the established to switch when its as easy as 1 2 3.
This is my opinion only. its ok if you disagree. As long as you're happy and
#healthy, that's all that matters in
#life.
