“Any children that have an affidavit for not vaccinating their child. So, for whatever reason- religion, health, any of their reasonings, if they have that in place, those children have to be excluded from care for 21 days. Any children that are too young to receive the MMR vaccine, so under six months, we’ve isolated them. So, they’re all together in a classroom, the same classroom with the same consistent teachers.”

The US now has >600 #measles cases in 22 states, acc/to the #CDC [& who knows if that’s being accurately reported]. That includes 481 cases in #Texas alone. The country has now reported >2X the number of measles cases this year than were reported in all of 2024.

The CDC says there have been 6 measles #outbreaks so far this year.

"If you view vaccination as an individual choice and believe that anyone should be able to opt out for any reason at any time, then what you’re saying is that it’s okay to decide not to uphold your end of the social contract; that it’s okay to free-ride off of everyone else who actually did go get vaccinated."

She responds to CDC:

"The truth is, when it comes to public health, there really isn’t such a thing as a 'personal' or 'individual' choice — because every choice we make as individuals has implications for the health of those around us. Framing vaccination as an issue of 'personal choice' disregards the fact that choosing not to get vaccinated ultimately strips other people of their personal choice to stay healthy or to live a normal life."

Caroline Orr Bueno reports that ProPublica contacted the CDC to ask why it suppressed a report warning that the risk of measles is higher in areas near outbreaks where vaccination rates are lower.

CDC responded,

“The decision to vaccinate is a personal one." As Bueno notes, this echoes HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s own language about vaccination.

Weaponized · No, vaccination is not a “personal choice”By Caroline Orr Bueno

Why is it that doctors and scientists think they can combat anti-vaxx with statistics and by mocking people?

The gall OF EVEN CITING "peer review", when peer review is an editorial aid, not a signifier of scientific value!

And yet they provide NO INSIGHT, as can be done with just a little logic.

For instance, if letting diseases run free through populations improved disease resistance, as RFK Jr suggests, should we run experiments? OF COURSE NOT! Why not? ...

No vaccine? No school, as measles continues spread across Ontario. "Region of Waterloo Public Health has issued suspensions to 1,624 elementary students for outofdate vaccination records. The suspension kicked in Wednesday, just as measles cases reached 14 in the region." #measles #vaccines #canada #ontario therecord.com/news/waterloo-re
