The purple chokeberries, Aronia prunifolia, are blooming and some different color pansies.

The first Viola tricolor.

A viola tricolor that is yellow, purple and white. The nectar guides are purple on yellow and faded yellow. The two lower 'petals' are yellow with purple tips. The sides are faded yellow to white with a purple blush spot near the edge. The top two are solid purple. They are not all called petals but you get the idea.

Ein rundes Kissen leuchtend gelber Viola

Nicht ganz sicher, was die Friedhofsgärtnerei mit dieser Kreation sagen möchte… am linken Rand wächst ein grüner krautiger Bodendecker mit unauffälligen gelben Blüten. Rechts daneben eine große Steinplatte, die diagonal von links unten nach rechts oben von einem breiten, grünen Bodendecker-Band unterbrochen wird. Das Band scheint aus dem linken, Bodendecker-Feld hinauszuragen. Die Spitze des Bandes ist mit gelben Stiefmütterchen bepflanzt.

Narcissus 'Bell Song', Jonquilla and Apodanthus Group, G. E. Mitsch 1971. Two flowers on one stem. The perianth/petals are simple creamy white. The corolla is short, a bit ruffled, pale yellowish ornage at the proximal end and creamy pastel orange at the distal. In the background another flower, some foliage, and a wood fence.

Tulipa 'Akebono', Jn. Haakman an Zn. B.V. 2007. Looking down at the flower just beginning to open. It's a double tulip. The petals are light yellow with reddish veining, the outer ones tending to green. Raindrops cling to the petals. Blurry background of leaves.

Viola adunca, western dog violet or western blue violet. In the foreground one flower, with two petals pointing up like "ears", and two down on either side of the "lip" petal. Most of the flower is a deep purple-violet, with the center being whitish, and the proximal part of the lip being yellow and veined with deep indigo. Raindrops. In the background, blurry leaves and buds.
