I’m not the religious cultist some are over defining #E2EE. When it comes to organisational communications, it seems sensible to me to define the endpoint as the organisation, not the individual recipient. And as one widely-used example, this is how #WhatsApp for Business works

I'd very much like to drop it, but sadly #WhatsApp is still a necessary evil for keeping in touch with family and friends.

It is, however, fun to behold the utter stupidity of the fact that some moron at #meta thought it would be an absolutely spiffing idea to add "AI" to a chat app.

The mind boggles.

In its judgment, the General Court of the European Union strengthened the conciliation and regulatory powers of the European Data Protection Board.

"The DPC will have to continue its investigations into Meta unless it chooses to refer the matter to the European Court of Justice. Given the timeline of the original investigation, which began in 2018, it may still take several years before a final determination is made regarding the GDPR compliance of Meta’s business model, particularly in relation to behavioural advertising."

@AAMfP yeah, #Meta is holding market pretty tight when it comes to the chat clients. Looks like every country except US is using #whatsapp as a top chat client and their services are pretty well integrated with this client as well. I like the UI of the app and you have to admit that from user perspective, the experience is really good. At least on #android platform. Don't get me started on how much data they're stealing and security :-)

In Polizeikreisen werden offenbar in unzulässiger Weise Informationen über Metas Messengerdienst #Whatsapp ausgetauscht. Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz in NRW, Bettina Gayk, hat eine Warnung herausgegeben, laut der diese Praxis "aus Datenschutzgesichtspunkten nicht hinzunehmen ist", zumal den Dienststellen polizeieigene datenschutzkonforme Alternativen zur Verfügung stehen.

For reasons, I still have #WhatsApp on a phone. They really shoved a #Meta_AI #chatbot contact into my list without asking. Not even that it is an additional contact, it is a laid-over button on top of the 'write msg' button. How obnoxious is that?!

Got a few questions from relatives who thought the new contact is a phishing attempt.
