This jay has just shaken off the constant rain.
The Jay (Garrulus glandarius ) grows up to 35 cm tall and has a wingspan of up to 58 cm. It is a member of the Corvidae family and feeds on acorns, caterpillars, and seeds. Jays are good vocal mimics and warn forest dwellers of danger.

Er gehört zur Familie der Rabenvögel und ernährt sich u.a. von Eicheln, Raupen und Sämereien. Eichhäher sind gute Stimmenimitatoren und warnen die Waldbewohner vor Gefahren.
