Nobody:
Someone at #Xerox: How about we offer TIFF as a file type for scanning, but it's secretly a JPEG file stored in a TIFF container. Nobody's going to notice the file is about 10 times too small and doesn't look good

Italian designed bean bag chairs were a staple of Xerox PARC:

In the 1970s the popular Italian actor and comedian Paolo Villaggio poked fun at bean bag chairs, like in this clip (no need to understand Italian). In the movie he played Giandomenico Fracchia, a low-rank, subservient employee of a large corporation always eager to please and not annoy his bosses:
We now take it for granted but adding a display to a copying machine was a novel idea in the early 80s. In this 1984 video Austin Henderson told the history of and demoed Trillium, an Interlisp environment for designing and prototyping user interfaces for Xerox copier control panels.

Trillium was actually more versatile as Henderson used the system to run the slideshow in this presentation. See also:
I'm putting together a reading list on Xerox Network Systems (XNS), the network architecture developed at PARC and Xerox which influenced TCP/IP.
I'd like to learn more to play with the network functionality of Medley Interlisp based on XNS. Medley's TCP/IP stack is currently incomplete and not working.

Xerox takes over Lexmark: New market leader in print subscriptions
The takeover of Lexmark by Xerox has been completed. It is not least about managed print.

Xerox drops $1.5B on Lexmark because apparently someone missed the memo about going paperless
Two legacy printer giants joining forces in their "Reinvention" strategy - which is like reinventing the horse by buying more horses. Bold move in 2025!
@puniko @cinnamon also makes sense given text editing was the first mainstream application that non-technical folks got.introduced, and #Xerox did also put a portrait-oriented widescreen on the #XeroxAlto #DesktopPublishing #workstation...

Tried to go for a photocopy/Xerox look like fliers for punk bands.
[with and without text and symbols]
In the mid 1980s Xerox published Masterscope, a newsletter for Interlisp-D users which featured product updates, project showcases, tips, and more. Browsing through the issues gives an idea of the applications and domains Interlisp-D was used for.
Xerox is one of the three big players in a shrinking market for print. This uncomfortable position means it is having to reinvent itself, pushing for growth through a new global business services organisation and pursuing novel revenue streams.
A little bit of #Xerox fiddling this weekend.
I have yet to figure out how to get NetBoot working in Dodo. That sure would make the installs take less time!!
I'm scanning so many of my old paper records that I have become an expert on techniques to make the office photocopier crash and reboot. Xerox, you might want to hire me as a firmware quality tester! On the other hand, Xerox has one of the lowest recommendation scores that I've seen on my investing forums (https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/XRX), so maybe not...
Neat.. encountered the #xerox scanner bug live..
In case you don't remember, their #JBIG2 algorithm setttings causes small scanned symbols to be confused with symbols already in the compression dictionary and then misprinted.
In this case, the superscript "2" and "3" were turned into full size "2" and "3".
The nonsensical result, a #DnD whip does a 1D33 damage if only
Trillium was a user interface design environment for simulating and experimenting with interfaces for simple machines. Developed at Xerox PARC in Interlisp-D, Trillium was used also for fast prototyping and testing of interfaces for Xerox copiers and printers.
