We have now seen it acted out in real life, so we know exactly what that phone call went like.
A shake down, pure and simple.
Congress was absolutely right to impeach (as we all know). And we now see how wrong the Senate was (as we all know.)
@davetroy Zelensky probably knew he was walking into a trap but what other choice did he have? If there was any shred of a chance he could recapture at least some US support he had to go for it. I'm glad he remained dignified in the face of what was an obviously Kremlin organized stunt. If it wasn't obvious before it is now, Ukraine is Spain in 37.

@davetroy @inthehands I realise what has happened though. Watched some regular tv news last night. The clips they are showing do tend to make it look as though Zelenskyi was humiliated. When you watch the whole clip (at least the 7 mins towards the end), it is far more clear that it is excruciating for Trump and Vance.
