To reach the goal of a 5% to 8% cut in a civilian WF of >900K, dept aims to slash ~6K/mo by not replacing WRKs who routinely leave.
Key concern: service members may then be tapped to fill those civilian jobs. But the official said Hegseth wants to ensure the cuts don’t hurt military readiness.
