@Michigander When we were kids, mid 1960s we used to drive up from Maryland to the Northern Penn to visit some old friends who built a cabin on Lake Huron in the 30s, had their building materials brought to the site by boat. A fairly empty place, beautiful on that trip. We visited Mackinac Island before we got there, then across the bridge which was fairly new, and went fishing in our private little cove, also visited Tahquamenon Falls, and boat locks on the north end, by Canada?
