@davetroy Dave’s thoughts on the CR pretty much aligns with what Brian Schatz replied when I questioned him about his yes vote. I’ve seen Dave be right too many times to not consider his view on the Debt Ceiling.

This won't happen. The #Democrats have been awful at proactively articulating anything for at least 25 years. It's like they're so afraid to make the wrong decision they don't make any decision until the Republicans force them to react to something.
@davetroy I have to admit that I find myself thinking that maybe a devastating economic catastrophe is the only way to stop the fascist authoritarian takeover of our government. Because there sure doesn’t seem to be any other plan to stop it. And if so, why should Democrats bend over backwards trying to prevent us from default?
