A lovely bunch of magenta flowers on the azalea bush that normally is just plain pink.

My mother's magenta azalea is a veritable WALL of color today!

I've had this azalea bush for years and it never flowered. I transplanted it last fall. Ta-da!

躑躅 [Tsutsuji] : Azalea

Mochitsutsuji gets its name from the stickiness of the calyxes, the peduncles and the young leaves by the flowers when touched.
