On Apr. 17, 1961, 1,400 Cuban exile troops, armed and trained by the CIA, with U.S. air and naval support, launched an #invasion of #Cuba at the Bay of Pigs with the intention of toppling Cuba's revolutionary government. Most of the invaders were captured or killed.

Today in Labor History October 9, 1967: Ernesto “Che” Guevara was captured and summarily executed in Bolivia, at the age of 39. His capture was orchestrated by Cuban exile, Felix Rodriguez, a CIA operative and Bay of Pigs veteran. It has been alleged the Nazi war criminal, Klaus Barbie, who was living in Bolivia at the time, also helped orchestrate Guevara’s capture. Felix Rodriguez also participated in the Phoenix Program, in the war against Vietnam; met regularly with Vice President George H.W. Bush, during the illegal arming of the Nicaraguan Contras; and participated in the assassination of DEA Agent Kiki Camarena.

Thinking now of our brothers and sisters in #Ukraine and also Afghanis who put it all on the line for over a decade thinking about having their own shining light on a hill one day and that they would not be abandoned like #BayOfPigs. We are here and we are not deterred

I believe we are going to see more Bay Of Pigs like events in the coming weeks and months.

US has no idea how they get American weapons, Ukraine doesn't know how they get armored vehicles and heavy weapons and those guys just magically get weapons and mange to attack Russia all by their own.

Remember the Iranian MKO did and said the same when they attacked Iran at the same time Saddam was butchering Iranians and Kurds with chemical weapons. Those guys had the balls to admit that they had "bought x their weapons from Iraq and Saddam had given them tanks and artillery" confiscated from Iranians ".

But hey, they are freedom fighters for sure. And we have to support them against the " New Hitler".

Bay of pigs, Russian version in 2023!

It was just a couple of weeks ago a leak about Zelensky pushing for occupation of some Russian villages to have a bargaining chip during the (inevitable) peace talks. People called it for Russian propaganda, and suddenly this happened. A group of independent Russians with US supplied weapons and armored vehicles attack Russian "without Ukraine involvement".

Elements of the all-Russian pro-Ukrainian Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) and Freedom of Russia Legion (LSR) conducted a raid into Belgorod Oblast, Russia on May 22.

We sure living in interesting times! And history is repeating itself.
