20 May 2024: The cycleway #C3 #CS3 counter on London's Victoria #Embankment has blown through #1million cycle journeys this year with a 12+k day.

May 20th is the earliest #1million since the counter was installed in 2018.

The cycleway #C6 #CS6 counter on #Blackfriars Road is also having a record year-to-date at 623k, and the better end of 7k today.

The displays on both counters are reported to have had offline days this year.

@Natanox @fuchsiii just like #Valve does on #Steam:

You don't own those games but merely get a perpetual license to access these games...

Only on actual licenses you have some sort of "ownership" as per #UseSoft - case where the original owner can't ban or restrict the resale of your license and adjacent media...

Which is why #Adobe canceled #OneTimePurchase licenses: Because they got forced by a court to allow #UsedSoftware #License brokers to sell used copies of #CS6...

Introduction: crowd sourced pictures and reports of the cycle journey counters installed by #TransportForLondon #TfL on London's cycleways #CS3 Victoria Embankment and #CS6/#C6 #Blackfriars Road.

Since the totems were installed in February 2018, circa 15 million journeys have been counted and displayed by the two counters (when they have worked!) - over 10 million along #CS3, and over 4 million along #CS6

Regulars have used hashtags #CS3Count and #CS6Count on the birdsite to share reports.
