Knitting a snuggly cowl out of luscious soft yarn (the knitting was a pleasure and now I get to enjoy wearing it!)

Reading a good book with a hot cuppa and a friendly cat

Coming home to a sun-warmed house on a chilly day

Discovering other people who care, too

The crispy magnificence of a frosty morning with all the plants rimmed with ice

What are some of your simple pleasures and ordinary joys?

I am still learning this quality. There I moments I think I have it mastered. Looking at a garden, nature, or a child, watching the magic unfold that is time. Then I get why it is such a treasure.

Casting on a new knitting project
Watching the neighbour's cat figuring out how to get down from our plum tree (they made it!)
Tui singing (and fighting over plum blossom)
