To everyone in our community,

After careful review, we’ve made the difficult decision to suspend four servers for repeated, serious breaches of our guidelines:

rassilni.com
This instance has repeatedly amplified antisemitic posts and harassed users because of their faith. We’ve seen hateful language, conspiracy theories, and direct attacks on individuals—and that simply has no place here.

elonsucks.org
Despite several warnings, this server hasn’t managed to curb a flood of spam. We offered tools and support to help them clean things up, but the deluge of low-quality content persisted, and it was disrupting everyone’s experience.

social.stephenlittleton.com
We found multiple posts threatening violence against people with disabilities, using the R-slur and other hateful terms. Describing disabled folks as “easy targets” or “cursed by God” crosses the line into violent, dehumanizing hate speech, and we can’t allow that.

dynu.com
Over an extended period, this server has failed to act on a torrent of spam targeting a user named Nicole. Harassing posts and unwelcome ads continued even after we reached out, making the environment hostile and unwelcoming.

We don’t take suspensions lightly. Our goal is to keep Tootworld.social a respectful, safe space for everyone. If the teams behind these instances can show they’ve put strong moderation in place—filters for spam, clear policies against hate speech, active enforcement—we’d be happy to revisit this decision. Until then, these servers will remain suspended.

Thank you to everyone who helps keep our community healthy and welcoming. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to our support team.

at this point it's gotta be considered a problem instance given how many fucking alts dav1d spins up on there with apparently zero oversight.

they need to sort their fucking shit out, frankly. allowing a repeated harasser on there over and over goes beyond incompetence.

#Fediblock this whole instance (rassilni.com). A user managed to post such blatant antisemitism as to get themselves kicked off kolektiva.social (which is really difficult, since usually it takes only the thinnest veneer of left-acceptability to prevent that), then fled to rassilni.com to post another immensely antisemitic thread. After getting reports, the admin dismissed the complaints out of hand. Especially since there are no other active users on the public timeline, I see no reason to keep the server around. We wouldn't tolerate freeze peach like this from the right, and we should not tolerate it from the nominal left.

Rassilni راسلني[Flawed] Anarchist ⚑ (@flawed@rassilni.com)If you are not seeing my posts on Mastodon for long, its because I am made a pariah by moderators of Kolektiva who kicked me out from Kolektiva mastodon server, for alleged "antisemitism", because I made the cardinal mistake of attacking the root of more than a century long Palestine oppression culminating in Genocide. They kicked me out for reasons I will address (Audio at end) @palestine@a.gup.pe @lebanon@a.gup.pe @iran@a.gup.pe @israel@a.gup.pe @anarchy@a.gup.pe @anarchism@a.gup.pe #palestine #gaza #lebanon #iran #israel #anarchy #anarchism

de facto US cultural hegemony is problematic

Oh, this is one is truly monumental these days and unfortunately it’s very prevalent on #Fediverse - it’s especially ironic that people presenting themselves as leftist, anti-imperialist and generally progressive try to behave 100% like imperial governors🤦

A few years ago someone challenged me that my one-person instance is not blocking some other instance which they believed should be blocked “because ACAB” - I think that was the literal description for the ban in #Fediblock

I like to understand exactly why I block instances but in this one I didn’t even really understand the rationale - the very “ACAB” term was alien to me. I’ve looked up the acronym, which was even more puzzling. Came out someone didn’t like US cops and by that person’s moral standards everyone in the world should ban all instances where a former policeman has an account.

But I live in a country (UK) where people generally trust police, I don’t share that local “ACAB” sentiment and I’m definitely not going to ban them preemptively, which I have all politely explained. What followed was lots of insults, including “nazi”, “fascism” references of course and then threats to block my instance merely for not blocking that “ACAB” instance.

Contrary to the Fosstodon users who left the instance “because of general public perception”, I would rather have my single-user instance banned by everyone in the world than submit to this kind of blackmail.

And I would encourage everyone, including Fediverse admins and users, to reject this kind of mob rule because otherwise you’ll all end up a very toxic bubble where even asking “why exactly do we block them” will be considered “fascism”.

P.S. just to clarify - I occasionally myself write about #Nazi and #fascism on the basis that I closely follow the war in Ukraine, and there are several Russian military groups that are neo-Nazi in very literal sense (with swastikas, SS references etc). I have no problem when someone says that some of the US internal policies are moving dangerously close to the actual 1930’s Nazi-inspired eugenicist policies. I just refuse to apply this very serious term to trivial shitstorms where people simply disagree with each other.
