Anyone know what this is?

I wanted to say #GladiolusCommunis and exclaim ‘#HelloPossums!!’

But I had a sneaking suspicion it could be something totally different.

And so too does my ID app… in fact it suggests anything from #Lobelia, #Montbretia, #CannaLily - and yes of course… #Gladiolus!

Google image search wanted to tell me it’s a gladdy… but you know what.. I’m not so sure.

Whatever it is, ‘twas snapped on my sisters farm in #Centralvictoria a few weeks back… deep red and it is happy as Larry.

A gorgeous Gladiolus communis (#CommonGladiolus) growing alone but proud along a suburban fence line in #McKinnon #Australia.

Seeing these plants always makes me me laugh. First thing that comes to mind is #DameEdnaEverage!!!

You normally see these things in a tall vase. This planted one however, is lovely.
