#ItsOkayToNotBeOkay is a pretty fabulous drama on a number of levels. It's slightly less serious about the mental health aspects than a show like #DailyDoseOfSunshine but the ML works in a psychiatric unit and is a caregiver for his brother who has relatively severe autism. The references to fairy tales and the wardrobe and sets are all pretty fabulous. I cry easily and don't recall that being a big issue for me with this show.

So many great #kdrama shows in a wide variety of genres on Netflix and even more that are available on Viki.
#CrashLandingOnYou is one that draws many people in.
I started with #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay, which adds fairy tales and psychiatry to the mix. #ItaewonClass was next, with a great revenge story. I have found very few duds, to be honest!

#ItsOkayToNotBeOkay is a really unique #kdrama and was my introduction. The mental health stories regarding the patients and the leads are all very interesting and well done. The fairy tales add a very interesting dimension.

Now granted this does not apply to all men but it sure does apply to me, I have been the red button for far too long.
I recently pressed the virtual blue button and admitted to myself and those close to me that I am not okay and I need help.
@s1m0n4 Agreed. And #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay and #ADailyDoseOfSunshine both did FAR better with #MentalHeal storylines. Like I said, I'm enjoying watching cute people be cute together but it's an extremely bland story, similar to #WelcomeToSamdalRi.
They may both be Netflix productions, which tend to be geared more towards western tastes, without all of the weird loveliness that makes #kdrama so much fun.

Ooh, that's SO cool that you found a shop selling the #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay fairytale books! I also have a goal to read them but I haven't found a local source for #korean printed materials. I'll try to see what I can find on my #PNW #roadtrip since #Seattle and #Vancouver both have large groups of Koreans living in and near the cities. Both cities have a #jjinjilbang that I plan to visit!

This was my very first #kdrama and I watched it with a group of veterans. It's super interesting the way that they weave fairytales into each episode and I love the focus on mental health and the way that we get to learn the stories of many of the psychiatric patients. Also, the toll of being the primary caregiver for an adult with severe #autism
I'd like to rewatch this one at some point but there are so many shiny new-to-me shows out there!
