Fun bank holiday of gaming. Two games of #Killteam and one of #Bloodbowl against various lovely people. Also had nice colourful nails for the day, a little chipped now

Bit of cleaning up to do but they survived my lack of experience with oil washes!
Fiiiiinally set some time aside to do some painting. Felt like I should finally get my AoD kill team past the 'vaguely primed' phase (even though space marines are my least favourite thing to paint) – pretty happy to get the base coats on there, tomorrow I will get an oil wash on the go and hopefully get them looking right :)
Really wanted to get some painting in this weekend but didn’t quite get there. Did manage to get a bunch of stuff based / primed though:
- My kid’s Raven Guard AoD #KillTeam — he’s been carefully kitbashing these which has been delightful to see. When he had the idea he asked me if we could look for some printable bird skull helmets and it turned out that was very doable!
- A proxied Hunter Clade kt I’ve been building — still waiting on the awkward oval base for one of the gunners though. Really happy with the customised ruststalkers / infiltrators!
- The extra models I’ve built for my beaky AoD kill team — these had been sat waiting to be based / primed for a while…
Im almost done with my #killteam here's a group photo at my flgs
Lots of grey plastic in this one — hastily constructed Phobos vs. Blades of Khaine. A hilarious bloodbath of a game, thoroughly recommend this matchup of two teams where every activation ruins someone’s day.
10-9 to the Space Marines — one model left each, and went down to the last activation!
Sigh. I need to work on more #Warhammer40k #KillTeam miniatures.
Hobbies are a great distraction. I've 7 more members of my Scouts Kill Team to complete.
Spent last weekend building / roughly painting the #Gallowdark terrain that's been on the shelf for months, for a #KillTeam game this weekend. Was a great game – my Bone Brigade AoD against the Legionaries the boy built last week. Really swingy and brutal – the close quarters environment makes for a very different game, and obviously we bought very different versions of these teams.
(Also spent a good chunk of last week printing an alternate version of this terrain, with magnets for quick assembly – a decision that seems absolutely justified after it took me an hour to set up this simple layout..)
Paint the head and shoulder covers, do some touch up finish the base and one more squad member will be done. #Warhammer40k #KillTeam
Most likely I’ll be done this weekend. Then I can work on number 5. #Warhammer40k #KillTeam
Playing our first game of #KillTeam. I’m playing Blades of Khaine and my partner is playing Hand of Archon. Three hours in and about halfway done. #warhammer40k

Roman helmet on this Inquisitor. Yay or nay? Fits the scale I think

WIP of first Inquisitor. This is basically just a weapon and headswap of the Stormcast Lord Veritant. The whole mini just screamed witch hunter to me.
Next Kill Team project. Using some storm cast eternals to make Inquisitors. Possibly using the Kill Team Warp Coven rules, idk
First Stingwing is done! I wasn't sure about that base colour to start with, it turns out it's one of the Contrast paints that is REALLY pigmented and so the underlying zenithal highlighting doesn't really show through very much. Additionally on the rest of the squad I think I'm going to make the feet and hands the same darker blue colour that the horn things (?) are, but otherwise I'm actually quite happy with how it's turned out!
