I’m thinking no — or, in any case, it would be *extremely* tough. Aside from the difficulty of creating the required user interface, Inform7 is missing some pretty key language concepts such as key/value dictionaries, and it is very difficult to handle any sort of dynamically created objects. This isn’t surprising, of course, since it was designed with text adventures in mind.

Sometimes I wonder LLMs get some of their hype because they feel innovative (even though they mostly aren’t) in a tech world that seems so devoid of it.

Like, LLMs have serious moral and ethical issues, they burn up the planet, and they are hyped up to be way more useful than they actually are… but using them *feels* almost magical, because they almost succeed at doing something that has been a sci-fi staple for decades.
