From a couple of weeks ago, a drift of Tulip 'Orange emperor’, who were lucky to escape the muntjac’s attention.
This cultivar was, apparently, introduced in 1962 by the the Dutch grower J.W.A. Lefeber. Back then, he could not have imagined that the name, Orange Emperor, would acquire such an unsavoury meaning more than sixty years later.
Let’s keep this our #secret. Somebody might think that they named a tulip after him.
