Step 6: Take the flap that is closest to you and fold it downwards, stuffing it into the closest pocket you've already folded. You may need to trim it slightly to get it to fit nice. If you do this right, you won't need glue and it'll hold itself in!

Step 7: You did it! The remaining flap is bent and now you've got a wallet. If you've got magnets or some sorta other fastener you wanna use, pop that on to keep it closed. I'm using a hair tie for now cuz I got plans to make a cooler wallet in the future that's a bit more waterproof. This one is just a temporary wallet.

THERE YOU HAVE IT! ONE QUICKLY MADE RECYCLED WALLET! :ablobcatreachflip:

Step 4: Fold up the bottom of the box! Use those lines you measured earlier to get things lined up nicely. Apply pressure with something heavy to try and get a strong crease.

Step 4.5: If you're smart, fold things so the cool part of the box will be on the outside, unlike me who is gonna show off the nutrition facts now lmao. :neocat_googly_blep:

Step 5: Using those lines you measured earlier, remove the thinner panels of the box. Only cut down to the upper line you drew though! Refer to the picture if my instructions don't make sense.

Step 1: Remove the lil foldy bits off the end of the cheesy mac box.

Step 2: Measure out on the box so it's divided evenly into thirds. You can use a card you plan to store in said wallet to get the size close enough if you lack a ruler.

Step 3: Fold the thinner sides of the box in half, with the fold collapsing towards the inside of the box.

Working some more on terrain for my papercraft solo RPG skirmish game.

Today I made some new “standee” trees that take up 2”x2” instead of the “box” trees that are only 1”x1”. I think I like them better - they are more stable on the play area and they feel more like trees.

I’m experimenting with doing all line art or adding grayscale shading to some elements. Not 100% sure which way I want to go with that.

Also cool new cobweb markers!

Amongst the sad, strange and tragic archival footage in ‘Russia 1985–1999: TraumaZone’ was this crowd of people with quite of few of the men wearing newspaper hats, a kind of @origami. (youtube.com/watch?v=HhKCCd3c4Uc Episode 2, about 42 minutes)

I think this is the largest number of newspaper hats I’ve seen in recent historic footage. No direct identification or credit in the video, but is this the coal miners’ strike, Donetsk, Ukraine, sometime between 1989–1991?

And do you know how to make the hats? There seems to be several varieties: one like a cap, one a variation of the traditional newspaper hat origamiheaven.com/historyofthe, and some seem to be a compound of two different hats?

Edit: I think one hat is a variation of the printer's cap origamiheaven.com/historyofthe

Doing some more work on the papercraft miniatures for the second adventure location of my solo miniatures RPG "Fable on your Table" (second edition).

This set introduces outdoor battles, and I think the papercraft terrain and enemies are starting to look pretty good.

This time, I remembered to time myself. Each miniature takes only about two minutes to score, cut out, and assemble. Not bad!

Assembled some papercraft miniatures for a new adventure setting for my solo miniatures-based RPG game, "Fable on your Table".

Shown are:

* Giant beetles (Zephyr, Maurader, and Goliath varieties)
* Some vampires
* Werewolves
* Some "oakens" – living tree giants

These were just two pages printed out. Didn't take long to score 'em, cut 'em out, and glue 'em up!

Star 8 Octad, modular origami made from eight units. Only four folds on each unit and two for assembly.

Edit: Instructions are here with some variations: foldworks.net/star-8-octad, from my book ‘Star Origami: The Starrygami Galaxy of Modular Origami Stars, Rings and Wreaths’ (CRC Press, 2021) routledge.com/Star-Origami-The
