Protecting the pint: British Lords vote to safeguard cherished measure.

Britain's House of Lords voted on Wednesday to ensure pubs can still serve beer in pints (568.26125 ml) - a cherished unit of measurement that survived the country's switch to the metric system in 1965.

Despite Brexit, the UK government has given up on a return to the imperial system of measurement.

Now, a new safeguard will ensure pints shall stay pints.

While more and more countries join #schengen , #Ireland still hasn't. Why? Because we're afraid of how the UK would take it? Ah diddums. They can go cry into their #pints of unexportable #British #wine for all I care. They decided to leave the #EU . We didn't. Let's play along with the club we DO belong to. And leave the #English and their pathetic little vassal states to deal with any problems an Irish membership of Schengen might cause them. Their issue. Not ours.
