My legal battle to regain my job
@kielinstitute starts tomorrow. Inevitably, it involves a night train. In Papua I learned that there isn't a conflict that doesn't have a resolution.
I'm confident I can win back my post. And so are 9,000+people👉 innn.it/klimaforscher-entlasse 🙏
Most importantly, I'd like to enshrine into law that an employee can't be fired for their conscientious objection to flying. #ClimateCrisis #RefuseToFly #ClimateAction #GlobalWarming #GlobalWarmingInThePipeline

"The really crazy thing is to do nothing".Thanks www.profil.at for telling my experience of losing my job to #RefuseToFly.

"A dormitory with over 100 people, bedbugs, the pain of insect bites. You forget all that when you look at the ocean and the waves. You feel the wind and are far away from everything." & that is nothing compared to losing the crops giving you food, as is occurring to PNG people.
Please read what #Slowtravel makes possible.

Very pleased with @ Nature Carriers publishing my story of being fired for not willing to fly back to my research institute home - when there was no need to. I do hope that my experience will give employees the right to #RefuseToFly on conscientious objection grounds. 🙏
Jess Schrage (@ Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation, Bergen Uni) for commenting that "such behaviour should be encouraged, not reprimanded.”

Here, I explain why I have no regrets on my decision. I did it to (a) comply with my own commitment to minimize emissions; (b) keep the #NoFly promise I'd made to Bougainvilleans; (c) send as strong a signal a possible that we are in climate emergency. #RefuseToFly 5/
