Comme elles le sont toutes. » ✨ J’ai lu le tome 12 de la série de comics Saga de Fiona Staples et Brian K. Vaughan chez <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.fr/urbancomics" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@urbancomics</a> et je suis toujours aussi conquise! Saga est un comics absolument formidable qui nous emporte dans une galaxie en guerre à la suite de personnages traqués pour l’amour qui les rassemble alors qu’ils sont de camp opposés. Sans vous en dévoiler trop, la série est riche en diversité, intense en émotions, très originale dans son univers et sa narration. C’est un énorme coup de cœur que j’aime relire en boucle. 💫 Le tome 12 prolonge très bien le nouveau cycle entamé dans le tome 11 et nous développe un peu plus les personnages, que ce soit dans leur confrontation à l’adolescence, à la culpabilité ou au deuil. L’intrigue globale avance encore et évite de tourner en rond en proposant un changement de paradigme qui va avoir un grand impact sur la suite. De nouveaux personnages prometteurs entre en jeu dont une que j’aime énormément. J’ai toujours peur que la série ne s’étende trop et de manière artificielle mais pour l’instant c’est toujours aussi génial. 🪐 Lisez Saga. Vraiment. YuyineJ’ai plongé Sous la brume de Yann Bécu publié fin avril chez L’Homme sans Nom et j’ai beaucoup aimé cette immersion! À la fois roman d’anticipation d’une richesse folle, enquête policière palpitante et surprenante, récit d’humanité plein d’émotions et dénonciations sarcastiques sur notre rapport aux technologies, Sous la brume est un roman efficace et parfaitement équilibré qui m’a emporté sans faillir. AmeimseUn <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/VendrediLecture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VendrediLecture</a> au cours duquel je poursuis mon exploration de la collection RéciFs d'Argyll, avec "Hard Mary", de Sofia Samatar.L'histoire d'une rencontre - un robot découvert par un groupe d'adolescentes d'une communauté religieuse - qui n'avait pas vocation à avoir lieu et qui provoque des décalages dans des trajectoires humaines et robotiques qui semblaient toutes tracées.Un récit court et elliptique pour parler de déterminisme, de reproduction sociale et de dé/reprogrammation au sein d'espaces saturés de rapports de domination. Une lecture que j'ai trouvée tour à tour déroutante, intrigante et fascinante, par ses thèmes comme par la mise en récit qui est proposée. Ameimse<a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/VendrediLecture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VendrediLecture</a> Cette semaine, j'ai fini "Les Amants du Ragnarök", de Jean-Laurent Del Socorro. Avec l'Edda en toile de fond, c'est une réécriture mythologique qui emprunte un registre intime et émotionnel pour évoquer un univers guerrier et le Ragnarök qui s'annonce. Sont mises en scène des histoires d'amour vécues, explorant tout ce qu'implique ce caractère révolu : des histoires de pertes et de deuils, de regrets et de refus d'accepter de telles fins. Si je me suis rapidement investie auprès des personnages, j'ai tout particulièrement apprécié la dynamique qui s'installe au sein du groupe bigarré qui finit par être réuni. YuyineLa semaine prochaine sera publié le nouveau livre de Floriane Soulas, Soma, aux éditions Robert Laffont. C’est un court roman cyberpunk intense qui nous embarque sans faillir à la suite de son héroïne au coeur d’une intrigue qui parle de transhumanisme, d’identité, de pardon et de vengeance. J’ai vraiment adoré cette histoire, pour les nuances surprenantes de son univers mais surtout pour l’émotion de Risa, parfaitement retranscrite par la plume de l’autrice. Très curieuse de lire l’autrice hors de sa formidable série de novellaes. C’est traduit par Mikael Cabon et cette couverture hypnotique est l’œuvre de Julianna Lee. Manon SegurTout a déjà été dit sur ce livre par des gens plus intelligents que moi. Donc j'ai décidé de me concentrer sur un des côtés que j'ai adorés (en plus de la personnalité absolument incroyable de Chet) : l'amour de Paris de l'autrice. C'est un roman très géographique mais qui rend un hommage absolument incroyable à la ville sans tomber dans les clichés (on se balade même pas à la tour Eiffel et ça c'est beau), à part des scènes au sacré cœur et à Notre-Dame on erre dans des lieux plus intimes (la piscine Molitor, les catacombes...) et clairement appréciés par <a class="u-url mention" href="https://pixelfed.social/estellefaye1" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@estellefaye1</a> , qui a décidé de leur créer une mythologie toute particulière. Autre force du livre et pas des moindres, le protagoniste, Chet. On m'avait promis un bisexuel chaotique (je reconnais bien mon peuple ^^), mais en vérité c'est un peu léger pour décrire ce personnage génial. Égoïste. Solitaire. Bête de sexe bourrée de défauts, Chet est également touchant, poétique et brave. Ameimse<a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/VendrediLecture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#VendrediLecture</a> de la semaine : "Mauvaise graine", d'Octavia E. Butler (avec une traduction de Jessica Shapiro). La trilogie 'Xenogenesis' avait été une sacrée expérience de lecture il y a deux ans. J'ai donc saisi l'occasion de la publication du 1er tome de la série Patternist pour renouer avec l'oeuvre d'Octavia Butler. Et j'en ressors une nouvelle fois marquée."Mauvaise graine" est un roman immersif, porté par une plume aussi sobre que sensible. Il est centré autour d'une protagoniste féminine forte qui, même confrontée à des choix impossibles et des situations sans issue, conserve une capacité d'agir. C'est une oeuvre très riche dans ses thématiques, tour à tour déroutante, dérangeante, révoltante. Elle m'a questionné -et me questionne encore, une fois le livre refermé- sur mes attentes et mes réflexes en tant que lectrice. YuyineAprès avoir adoré La migration annuelle des nuages de Premee Mohamed, je me suis plongée avec délice dans la suite, Ce qui se dit par la montagne, également publié chez L’Atalante. Formidable suite, ce court récit prolonge l’histoire de Reid et questionne à nouveau brillamment la notion de libre arbitre. En opposant individualisme et vie en communauté, bien commun et privilège, ce second opus offre une critique plus incisive que le premier. J’ai un petit coup de coeur pour ce tome 2 qui donne soif de révolte.
