Easy to add a bunch of brands to a boycott list when they publicly withdraw support. For companies dollars = support, everything else is meaningless.

Money is how they measure everything they do.

Hyperallergic · San Francisco Pride March Loses $300K in SponsorshipsBy Isa Farfan

Gay jury duty

Marching in the San Francisco Pride parade with a corporate contingent is boring and inconvenient.

Even though I’ve lived in San Francisco for over 20 years, this year was only the second time I’ve been to the official Pride parade and the first time I marched in it. I’ve generally thought it was, roughly in order of disagreeableness, too hot, too crowded, too loud, too corporate, and too uptight. And most importantly, I thought it was pointless. This year felt different.

Beautiful sunset along the Bay tonight, closing out another #SFPride weekend, my 22nd since moving out here. 30th anniversary of one of my first marches, the 1993 March on Washington. Feeling a mix of nostalgia, sadness, and rage, while also relishing how far we come. It’s breathtaking to see how the Friday trans celebration has grown, while maintaining a community feel. But things feel so dire for trans folks right now. Always helpful to #GetOutside for some #TransJoy.
