@bazkie I’ve watched a couple of tips videos. The roads get more and more damaged every time you drive over them and in the early game they can become completely impassable. Changing to a different map (like the snow map) and then back again will reset all the damaged roads.

It’s a real setback if you roll over or get stuck when you’re deep in a mission, but the feeling of accomplishment when you finish one of the harder missions definitely feels good, and that’s because it was such a challenge.

Any game that doesn’t force progress with time limits or penalties can become somewhat cozy. There’s four of us in our #Valheim and we’ve all just stopped progressing because it’s gotten hard. We still play. We build and craft and hang out in the early, easy areas of the open world, where we enjoy it and have fun. As soon as the combat became Souls-like, we stopped. We don’t go into the mists. We all plan to progress, but that’s something we’ll do later, when we feel more prepared and better motivated.

I like games like that. It’s always got more if you want it. #Satisfactory is another I’d put into this category.

OMG. Sorry for the wall of text!! 🤦 ☺️

#satisfactory : especially, relieving the mind from doubt or uncertainty, and enabling it to rest with confidence

Thank you so much for being a member of our community!

Main problem with my solo #Satisfactory save situation is that I'm at the point where I need to build some truly gigantic projects, as I don't have enough existing "overproduction" to cover most of what the final game stage requires. I need to build the remaining two Phase 5 items *from scratch* and that's gonna *suck*.

Question for y'all #SystemicGames¹ folks who like multiplayer/#coop games:

How do you logistically manage actually having a co-op, multiplayer playthrough of a complex video-game in your life?

I've always struggled, hard, with satisfying my needs here; not only is it so hard to find people who 1. like complex games, 2. like multiplayer/social gaming, and 3. have time/space/energy to repeatedly return to coop-complex-games … but even if you find such people, I've never been able to figure out a sustainable way to *actually make such a thing happen* consistently enough to progress/explore/build much of anything interesting!

Do y'all have a "complex games night?" A Discord server? Do you schedule, or is it drop-in? Do you play with a partner? Do you play with one friend, or ten?

----

Also, if you *do* know a good place to find such people (esp. queer, or afab, or kink-friendly …), uhhhh, gimmie. 🥺

1. (#Factorio, #Satisfactory, #OxygenNotIncluded, #Cosmoteer, #Rimworld, #Stellaris, #Astroneer, etc)

Interesting #Satisfactory factoid: Looks like when you just leave reward choice open until later and keep scanning hard drives you get to a point when the game won't allow you to scan any further drives.
Have you ever seen this, @dgar ?

#Satisfactory 1.0 (now 1.1) progress: Nearly all of the machines are placed, most of the materials are being delivered, so it's now just a matter of belting & piping everything together and I'll have a massive nuclear power facility. Maybe by month's end? I hope?

As we end the tour, we exit the top floor with a view of the water extractors that feed the operation, and the field of generators that the operation feeds.

Thus endeth the tour.

The top floor has skylights so is a bit better lit. Here are the unpackers, again one for each refinery. They unpack the fuel and dump it in pipes while passing the empty canisters back down to be reused.
