One #jury member wrote to the court that she had been contacted by defense attorney Shawn Holley. She expressed confusion about whether she could talk to him, and she didn’t understand how Holley had figured out who she was.
The court received an email from another juror. "Some of the #jurors have been visited at their homes by #DannyMasterson's Appeal team. We thought our information was going to be #sealed," the email said, adding, "We are concerned."

A man who looked not too unlike Enoch Burke approached me and forced a leaflet into my hand at the foot of Nano Nagle bridge in summer 2008. From watching so much Tom Cruise YouTube content I could tell this was an encounter with a #scientologist. The leaflet was for an 'exposé' on psychology in Cork City Hall. I didn't go but two close friends with serious mental health struggles did.
They told me how they recognised folks who they knew to see from their own psych appointments in CUH.
Sexual predator and celebrity #Scientologist #DannyMasterson was handed down a sentence of 30 years to life for his crimes.
Good.
Now if other sexual predators could receive the same treatment. (I'm looking at you, TFG.)

1. Love Bombing - Cults treat recruits like royalty and promise them unconditional love. Over-promising love, acceptance and community without revealing the conditions the cult will later demand for that unconditional acceptance.
2. Code switching - the cult leader can adapt their language and use slang to appeal to various groups of people.
3. Prey on the vulnerable - Cults look for members who are in mourning, in crisis, depressed or at other times of extreme stress.
4. Cut members off from their families - If the family isn't 100% supportive of the cult's agenda, the family member is demonized and made to look like they are
5. Faith based reasoning - Once you relinquish your thoughts & are willing to take a brief system without any evidence, groupthink is potent & literally can shape your worldview.
6. Us vs. Them mentality - If an organized group that seeks power ensures that “only they get you” question this.
7. Collective shame/humiliation for non conformance. Cults know there is strength in numbers create a specific worldview that is myopic and is built on repercussions. If a member deviates from the group's dogma, the group will deal out repercussions.
8. Shunning - the day you say something bad about the group or refuse to accept the cult dogma 100%, you are socially isolated, kicked out, shamed ...
9. Gaslighting - cults lie to members so much that they lose self awareness and cognitive ability. Members lose their perception of reality and become trapped in the cult because they can't think their way out of the situation.
