I’m absolutely over the moon, having just discovered Ginger Audio’s SPHERE Immersive virtual monitor controller software.

It completely solves some intractable issues I’ve been having with my Atmos system, such as

• the inability to overcome Apple’s 7.1.4 speaker limit in Audio MIDI Setup

• problems with being able to route audio from my DAWs to the Atmos system

It also adds great features like bass management, and built-in Apple Spatial Audio rendering!

A screen cap of SPHERE Immersive in action … yep, that’s a representation of my actual 14-channel Atmos system. (Except my six height channels are pointing upwards, bouncing audio off the ceiling.) You’ll notice that channel 4 is dormant, as I’m not streaming a subwoofer signal with this particular test file.)
